I am and have wanted to for a long time support woman through midwifery. I had four wonderful pregnancies and birth experiences. All my babies were thankfully born at home and nursed very well. We used herbs and homeopathics for any minor illness. My beautiful babies were very healthy and calm. My journey from there became learning everything i could about natural birth and process of it all. It is a forever learning process. I have hhad wonderful professional midwife in my life that i have learned so, much from. I feel destined to be a midwife and often wish it was something that could have been passed down to me. I believe in the ancient ways and how woman supported other woman. This skill was learned from grandmother, mother, or other elders in the community. No bother, i will pass down and share with my children and any woman wanting to listen everything i learn.

Hebrew Midwives

Exd 1:15  And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one [was] Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:

Exd 1:16
And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see [them] upon the stools; if it [be] a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it [be] a daughter,
then she shall live.

Exd 1:17
But the midwives feared YHWH, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.

Exd 1:18
And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?

Exd 1:19
And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women [are] not as the Egyptian women; for they [are] lively, and are delivered ere the
 midwives come in unto them.

Exd 1:20
Therefore YHWH dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.

Exd 1:21
And it came to pass, because the midwives feared YHWH, that he made them houses.
